Per the Diocese of Cleveland, Confirmation preparation at St. Mary will remain a 2-year process, beginning in 7th grade, continuing in 8th grade, culminating with Confirmation in the fall of 9th grade. However, in fall 2024, our Confirmation preparation will SHIFT from a PSR model to a youth ministry model. Consequently, Confirmation sessions will MOVE from Sunday mornings to Sunday evenings, as follows:
- Confirmation classes will meet ONE Sunday of each month, September - May
- We will be using the PURPORSE Curriculum from LifeTeen
- Purpose nights will begin with 5pm Mass, followed by a meal and Purpose Session (5pm - 8:30pm)
- Two cohorts will meet simultaneously - Year 1 and Year 2. Last year's PSR Year 1 students will now meet at the new time/dates!
- Older students seeking Confirmation will join whichever group meets their needs.
- Our team includes our Youth Minister, clergy, and experienced, joyful catechists.
We believe a sense of belonging to a vibrant church community develops during early adolescence. The faith of young adults thrives when they encounter Christ in prayer, serve Christ in their community, and meet Christ in their peers. The reason for these changes is to encourage growth and create the space for encounter with Jesus Christ in the Eucharist AND with other Catholic youth.

Coffee & Conversation
Meet with me for coffee to talk about anything & everything!
Relational ministry is an important part of Life Teen's model. If you or your teen would like to meet for coffee or lunch to talk about your prayer life, how to be more involved, or something the Lord has put on your heart, I'd love to walk with you/ your teen. OR if your teen has a game, performance, play, etc. I'd love to come and support! Use this link to add an event I can attend or schedule a meeting.
- Quick note, I'm still working out the kinks to make sure it aligns with my already booked meetings on my calendar. I will personally reach out if a time isn't *actually* available!

Nineteen of our students in grades 6–12 attended Damascus Summer Camp from July 5–10! If your child would like to attend next year (Aug. 1st -6th, 2027) please use this link to get them on the list.
This is not the official registration—it's to help to know which parents to send information to.
