First Reconciliation/First Holy Communion Preparation

Family-Centered

Sessions are held one Sunday per month, September-March from 9:30-10:40am.  At least one parent/guardian must attend with the child.  Special events include Eucharistic Retreat, rehearsal, and professional pictures in the spring.  Children preparing for First Communion (who do not  attend St. Mary day school) are also expected to attend Wednesday ANCHOR  sessions.  Please note: Children entering First Communion preparation MUST have completed at least one year of religious education.

First Reconciliation

Group First Reconciliation Day is held on a Saturday during Advent.  Parents may also schedule a time for their child with one of the priests.

First Communion Masses

Group First Communion Masses are held in late April or early May.  Families may also schedule their own family-centered First Communion.

The first 2026 session will be Sunday, September 20. ALL children preparing for First Reconciliation and First Communion need to register! (Anchor students should also register for Wednesday evening sessions.)
